Men’s Camping Weekend 2026 – A Reflection

This year’s Men’s Camping Weekend at The Quinta, Weston Rhyn (5th–7th June), was another wonderful success. Under the theme “Bigger church to make a bigger difference”, a group of men from St Anne’s gathered for a relaxed yet purposeful weekend of camping, conversation, and Christian fellowship.

The programme mixed thoughtful discussion with plenty of time for relationship-building. Friday evening began with personal testimonies and reflections on “What does church mean to you?”, followed by a gentle evening walk into the local village.

Saturday featured morning prayer, talks on “What do you think Jesus would make of today’s church?” and “What does a great church look like?”, walks (or time to relax around camp), a swim in the on-site pool, and dinner. In the evening the group enjoyed a sociable time together at the village pub.

Sunday morning brought more prayer and a final session on growing the church at St Anne’s and the value of a Mission Action Plan.

The weekend reminded us that real church growth often starts with deeper relationships and honest conversations about faith and life. In the beauty of God’s creation, over shared meals and good company, we strengthened friendships and returned refreshed and encouraged.

If you’re a man connected to St Anne’s, Aigburth you're very welcome at any of our events event.

Our next camping weekend takes place:
